Description
Donegal Ancestry Ltd was formed in 1992 to provide a comprehensive ancestral research service to people with Donegal heritage. We are members of the Irish Family History Foundation and form part of a national network of centres throughout the thirty-two counties of Ireland.
Mission Statement
"Donegal Ancestry's principal objective is developing and maintaining a Genealogical service for County Donegal and the Ramelton Story Exhibition as a cultural, historical and tourism facility within the town of Ramelton."
Operating as a voluntary body, with a Board of Directors drawn from the local community, public and private sectors, Donegal Ancestry has achieved considerable success in recent years in raising funds for an extensive refurbishment and re-development programme, which has culminated in a move to a state-of-the-art facility on the Ramelton shorefront.
